Collaborative Piece: World Collage Scramble

Instructions/Guidelines

The basis of this project was to get participants to collage their favorite letter. The prompt was: create your favorite letter with objects that represent you. The rules were as follows:

  1. There will be a prompt in the PLS READ (at the bottom). Create whatever the prompt says with the given objects on Milanote.
  2. You are allowed to bring one photo or object into Milanote to use for the project, but it cannot be what the prompt is. (EX: If the prompt asks you to collage your favorite animal, you cannot bring said animal.)
  3. You cannot move objects from some else's product, but can use the photo or object that they brought in.
  4. You can resize or manipulate the objects or photos.

Outcome and Scramble

Above is the full artboard of all the entries of letters. For my part of this project, I'll be unscrambling the available letters to make some words. The words I created were: mat and cat. There were a few more possibilities of words to make, though.

The reason I wanted to do this project wsa becausen there is a connection between words, images, and people. Each person made their favorite letter based on what describes them, giving the letter a personality. Then, a word is formed to create a group. In terms of an analogy, the words symbolize a group of people coming together no matter the different interests. After all, there are similarities amongst group of people to bring them together. In this case, the images brought the people together. The concepts or imagery were the same.
